Sri Satyavara Theertha had his initial education from his parama guru Sri Satyabodha Theertha. He installed his gurus Vrundavana at Mahishi as per the instructions of his guru. He ruled the Peeta for only 3 years. During his time Pooja box along with jewelry and other valuable items were stolen by thieves. Swamiji was very sad about this and sought the help of Deewan Poornaiah to recover the idols. Meanwhile swamiji took a vow that he would fast till the idols were restored, like this he fasted for 21 days. On 21st day, one pundit of the mutt Navaratna Annayacharya came with idols which were hidden in a grass near derelict well. On hearing this Satyavara Theertha who was very weak became happy about the return of idols to the mutt. He bought the idols to the mutt with all pomp and ceremony and immediately sanctified them according to the Shastras as they were touched by hands other than those of the saints of the Uttaradhi mutt, and worshipped them with happiness.

However, he never recovered from the after-effects of the fast he undertook. He ordained Annayacharya as the head of the mutt and renamed him as Satyadharma Theertha.

After handing over Peeta to Satyadharma Theertha he entered Vrundavana at Santebidanur.
