Sri Satyavijaya Theertharu

Sri Satyavijaya Theertha took Ashrama from Sri Satyapoorna Theertha. He comes in the lineage of Uttaradhi mutt.

He got a fame of naming the village in Tamilnadu on his name. It is called Satyavijayanagara situated near Arani town. The mutt has got enough money and property during his time. Many kings honoured him.

One important incident took place in his time which speaks about great spiritual powers swamiji possessed. In those times Venkatanatha was the chieftain of Arani state. The adjacent Muslim king wanted to attack him with ten thousand army. As Venkatanatha possess less army, he felt tensed. As suggested by someone he approached Sri Satyavijaya Theertha and sought his blessings. Swamiji blessed him and got courage to face the war against Muslim king. He defeated Muslim king in the war and handed over land to swamiji as mark of respect, the village is called Satyavijayanagara.

Sri Satyavarya Theertha who earlier got anusamsthana from Satyapoorna Theertha came to know that Sri Satyavijaya Theertha became head of the mutt. He felt unhappy because even though he is Ashrama Jeshta he could not become head of the mutt. Knowing this, Sri Satyavijaya Theertha did danda pallata to Satyavarya Theertha and renamed him as Satyapriya Theertha.

After handing over Peeta to Satyapriya Theertha he entered Vrundavana at Satyavijayanagara the place which he got as a gift from Arani king.
