Sri Vidyapoorna Theertharu

Sri Vidyapoorna Theertha took Ashrama from Sri Vidyanidhi Theertha and is Thirtieth saint from Madhwacharya. Below is his brief introduction.

Period  – 1824-1874

Poorvashrama Name  –  Sri Venkata Narasimhacharya

Ashrama guru             –  Sri Vidyanidhi Theertha

Ashrama Shishya         –  Sri Vidya SriSindhu Theertha

Aradhana                     – Sravana Shudha Shashti

Sri Vidyapoorna Theertha ruled the mahasamsthana for 50 years. After Sri Vyasaraja & Sheshachandrikacharya he is the only saint to rule the mahasamsthana for 50 years and more. He was Poorvashrama son of Sri Vidyakanta Theertha. Mysore king Mummudi Krishna Raja Wodeyar shown high respect towards him. The king was saying like ‘Swamy means Vidyapoorna theertharu’.

After handing over mahasamsthana to Sri Vidya SriSindhu Theertha, he entered Vrundavana at Sosale.

విద్వత్కుముదచంద్రాయ భక్తపంకజభానవే
విద్యాపూర్ణాయగురవే నమః సర్వేష్టహేతవే
